Hi, my name is Danielle. I am here to listen while creating a safe environment for you to talk through your worries, obstacles, and setbacks.
I received my BA in Psychology from the University of New Mexico and my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from New Mexico State University. I worked at the Office of the Medical Investigator for ten years expanding my knowledge of cultural practices in the community, commitment to serve the public, and building interpersonal relationships with law enforcement in the southwest region. I have volunteered with Hospice, the Girls and Boys Club, and First Responders in New Mexico. My Master’s internships include grief/trauma counseling and child welfare. I am also certified in Sand Tray Play Therapy.
I am passionate about working with children (over 14), adults, couples, and families. The combination of my professional work and educational experience color how I approach my therapeutic practice. I use a variety of collaborative approaches and techniques that foster client needs and client empowerment. I am committed to assisting clients in developing healthy lifestyles and coping skills. I joined the Odyssey Team in 2023 where we serve diversified populations, meeting our clients where they're at and helping assess their needs along the way.
