Meet Jacqui Lauko, owner of Skye Stables and Skye Therapy Solutions located in Gilbert, Arizona. Today we’re talking Equine Assisted Psychotherapy with Jacqui and her beautiful therapy horses CoralSkye, Fiji, Zale and Breeze. Jacqui has been in private practice since 2011 as a licensed counselor and has witnessed first hand how horses can help clients heal, grow and reconnect within this experiential therapy.
Join us as we talk about how being around horses allows for us to become more aware of emotions, build trust, communicate and learn about ourselves. Horses mirror our emotions and energy so they allow us to receive immediate honest feedback while processing anxiety, trauma, relationship issues and anything else that may be hindering us from moving forward. Jacqui also discusses her specialty trained ICARUS Model which she created as a blueprint when working with Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning. She also teaches Professional Certification classes for therapists, coaches and teachers who are interested in learning how to integrate equines into their practice.
