Clinical Staff
Kusum Bhandari is a Provisional Associate Marriage and Family therapist with a diverse background in holistic and clinical care. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Rajasthan University and a Postmaster’s in Couple and Family Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She also completed the comprehensive Ayurvedic Studies Program at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, studying under Dr. Vasant Lad. Following her studies, she served as both a faculty member and practitioner at the Institute. Additionally, Kusum is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. In 2025, Kusum joined the Odyssey Counseling team, where she supports children aged 5 to 11 and adults facing anxiety, depression, and a wide range of other mental health concerns.
Before transitioning into Ayurvedic practice, Kusum worked as a Psychology Associate and Crisis Counselor at Western Maryland Health System, providing both inpatient and outpatient counseling. Beyond her professional life, Kusum enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and cherishing moments of laughter with loved ones. She is deeply passionate about guiding and empowering others on their journey to health and emotional well-being.
